How to Use This Site

Supported Browsers
This document is best viewed with Internet Explorer 7+ or Firefox. Using these browsers will allow easy, standard navigation using the back and forward buttons to move between sections, narratives and exhibits.
This site also works well with Chrome, which has a few differences in its navigation. You can still navigate easily with the back and forward buttons, but you may also open links in a new tab by holding down the Command key while clicking the link on a Mac or holding down the Control (CTRL) key while clicking the link using a PC.
Some elements of the document may display differently in other browsers, but the content of the document will not be affected.

Adobe Acrobat Reader
All of the narratives and exhibits in this document are provided in an Adobe PDF format. If you have trouble viewing the documents because you do not have Adobe Reader downloaded on your computer, download Acrobat Reader for free (you must be connected to the Internet to download).

How Do I Read a Narrative and View an Exhibit?
Option 1:
Navigate to the component tab and click on a narrative. Once open, exhibits are linked within the narrative. Use “Back” button to close exhibit and return to the narrative.
Option 2:
Navigate through the narratives using the links in the Index. Click on a narrative or exhibit. Once a narrative is open, exhibits are linked within the narrative. Use “Back” button to close exhibit and return to the narrative.

How Do I View an Exhibit?
Within a narrative, all links to exhibits will be noticeably in blue text. Exhibits for a narrative each have a number (for example, OO2b). Clicking an exhibit link within a narrative will open the exhibit. Use “Back” button to close exhibit and return to the narrative.

Are URLs/Links Within Exhibits and External Links Meant to be Operational?
No. URLs/Links within exhibits are part the original source and are not intended to be operational or contribute to the narrative. Links that lead away from uvagomagnet.com are part of an original source or reference and are not intended to be operational.

Why Can't I Find the Document I Opened?
When clicking on a link, remember that the document may open in a new window or in a new tab, depending on your default settings or browser.
